Sumo GMT?
Begs the questions of what the SFK002 will look like! Or do Seiko only do odd numbers?
(I do like the look of that SFK001, especially if it's a "traveller's" GMT).
Surprised this thread hasn’t had more traction. I guess it has nothing to do with role or price rises!
Anyway, I have to say I really like them a lot but I wish they were a bit smaller

A good step up in quality for not much extra £££ than the new Seiko 5 GMT’s. Impressive. A traveller GMT too in spite of being solar.

Some other press shots
(Japanese model refs may be different to overseas)
Also sapphire crystal, anti reflective coating on the inside. Size 13.2mm height, 45.0mm width, 51.8mm length.
Lovely, shame there's no ceramic bezel though.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
Blue (non-pepsi) and black look good, pepsi (should never be seen) green is horrible (just like all other green dialled watches) - of course this is only my opinion, others may and will differ ..
/vince ..
Encouraging to see seiko use sapphire finally and with AR treatment.
Lug to lug will be too much for the majority of people.
I see this as another faltering step in the right direction, but still fairly little, and fairly late.
Seiko has had its kinetic GMT movement for years, and has singularly failed to use it in many (if any) sensibly sized and specified models. The SUN019 family was good, if rather large, and the movement was then squandered on some very average looking pieces.
This looks relatively good, albeit with a Citizen-esque miniature date wheel.
But Seiko still refuses to give us what many smaller brands can fit into the same budget. Lumed bezel, folded or faceted hands etc etc.
The black one looks the pick of the bunch for me.
I know they're meant to be rugged but the face (dial/hands) singularly lacks finesse.
It's a shame because with that calibre, a smaller case with better designed hands (and God knows they have the facility in-house!) would make it a very interesting proposition to me.
Well, they have a marketing department that knows a lot more than I do, and with the data to back it up, so...
