    Rolex Cellini

The time has come for my wife to buy her first 'keeper' watch, and after showing her what's on offer she really likes the Rolex Cellini line.

We're after a used one and I know nothing about the Cellini or what to look for so I was hoping some of you guys might be able to point me in the direction of a reputable dealer or two, or offer some advice?

    Many thanks

I like the Cellini like, but wonder if it isn’t slightly outside the brand’s core strength. In woman’s dress watches, a trilogy watch could be had for similar money - maybe something to consider?

Of course, you haven’t said if you’re looking at the men’s or woman’s Cellini models, which will also help with advice.

Oh, and the name your missus will be looking at on the dial everyday: important sculptor, convicted and imprisoned for sexual abuse of his apprentice. Not sure it’s the best look these days tbh.

Constellation is a great everyday too - along similar lines to that, a little more discreet.

I believe there is now only one watch in the current Cellini range

Some nice models in their previous line up.

I always liked the look of the earlier platinum watch, and the previous pricing, but it was slightly too small for me.
It's just a matter of time...

Friend on mine raves about them. I’ll just stick to steel sports Rolies

I think he said used, which is prolly just as well because at £23k it’s going to smart the first time you notice this happening, but with a bic pen or the end of a fork:

There's a fair number of Cellini quartz for the ladies which are value pre-owned.

Thanks for the replies, this is the sort of thing she's after, simple, gold or white dial, gold case. 31mm or a bit smaller.

When buying used and possibly a watch some some years on it, I'd rather buy from a reputable dealer of vintage/used Rolex. Does anybody have any recommendations?

Thanks, I've come across them before - have you had a good experience with either of these? (I'm located in the Midlands)
