Thread: Panerai Radiomir base logo hand wound question

Panerai Radiomir base logo hand wound question

The latest model Radiomir base logo has a 3 day hand wound movement.
When hand winding to its natural full wind stop does it have a clutch mechanism so that when you push the crown back in and screw it down it does not continue to wind further there by causing mechanical stress?
    Thanks

It should do just like any other hand wound with a screw down crown
That said it’s one of the draw back of such a watch. It places wear on the tube threads.
I always twist back on the crown to find the start of the thread before screwing the crown down

    This.
There isnt an overwind clutch on the manual pams.
You should begin to feel it starting to resist a little bit before it gets to the point where you cant wind anymore.

Yes - the crown has a spring so you can fully wind it and not worry about damaging it when screwing the crown back into the case.

Simple answer is yes, and that is the case on all radiomirs as well as any manually wound watch with a screw down crown, as otherwise, it fully wound would prevent you from screwing down the crown
