Standard price. Did you tell them not to replace the hands?

Pricey. I just got my 111 done by Century Watch Repairs - https://www.centurywatchrepairs.co.uk/

Absolutely fantastic job for under £400 and the polishing is superb. They also serviced my Daytona which was great. For a standard ETA, I'd honestly get the watch back and get them to do it. And peace of mind they wont do anything stupid....

I'm surprised that the Century website uses the SD43 as a background, I thought only Rolex could test WR on these. That said, a handy reference for my others, thanks. P.S. Your 111 looks humongous - watch your ceiling lights!

    No idea on the SD43!

I went for a weird angle on that to capture some of the polishing. Love my Panerai. This was my first expensive watch....14 years ago now!

I'd be going to an independent for that too. See you're in Manchester, Sean Yates is in Middlewich, he does all mine and it'll be nowhere near £600.

Does your watch have a tritium dial? The original hands are tritium or luminova?

Some people like to keep everything original. At 22 years old it’s edging into a vintage category.

With an ETA movement inside as other have said an independent can easily handle it.

IMHO the choice of Panerai versus Indy would depend on the actual watch concerned.
For example, my PAM 49 has been owned by myself from new, fullest of full set, no plans to sell it, so if it needed service I would look for a good Indy.
If I had a PAM without papers, wanted confirmation of its authenticity, and perhaps was considering selling in the future, then sending to Panerai could possibly add more value than would be saved by going Indy.
    Other options exist of course.

Yours does look good, and that's a great angle. It doesn't look a day over "almost new"! I'm still waiting for the right Pam to appear on the SC, a 42mm Radiomir would be ideal. Hopefully one day!

I believe 40mm Rads (wire lugs) are in the works for this year.

    Think they are 45mm

Well I’ve collected the watch and it’s not April . It came in a nondescript Watches of Switzerland felt pouch and a receipt which doesn’t mention Panerai or the work done , however the polishing is very good and the watch looks fantastic , I don’t expect to need the two year guarantee.

I had my Pam 177 serviced last year after the mainspring broke and so needed a spring and barrel
I sent it to George Pragnell and it cost £500 next time I plan t do it myself
