    Omega seamaster aqua terra worldtimer

Has anyone seen this one in the flesh? It looks damn fine and gets good reviews by the various bloggers. I feel an acquisition coming on!

I've had a fair share of world timers in the past and miss one not being in the collection.

Its 43mm diameter (and 100m 150m wrt with screw down crown) so I think ok for size on my wrist.

It’s one I’ve looked at several times but never followed through as something else has always presented itself.

I think it’s a great piece as part of a collection as it offers something really different.

Also very interested to hear any owners views.

It’ll be big for the style, I’d think.

Yes and I've tried it on but IMHO it is too big and bulbous

I've been on the fence for a while with this; it's incredible, but it's dimensions sadly do not suit me. If this were smaller, I'd have one in a heartbeat.

Worth getting in January as there is a price rise on 1st Feb.

Thanks. I’ll have to get to an AD to try it on in person. But it looks lovely in pictures!

I tried this on a while back but the legibility of the cities wasn’t that great, watch is quite thick given the complication and the strap was extremely comfortable.

I wish they’d make it in an adult’s size (~37mm) instead of only offering it in a child’s size (43mm)…

Every time I see these I think what a handsome thing it is. However when I tried one on a few things just didn’t gel for me. As stated above, the legibility of the world time wasn’t great for my aging eyes, size wise it was ok but for me the bracelet just didn’t feel it belonged on an £8k watch. Also running my finger under one of the lugs there was a burr. Now this could have been because it was a demonstration piece and it had been treated less than well but it didn’t give Me the best first impression
Now this is just one example and a personal opinion.

Happens to me all the time :)

Is the JLC in the mix too?

Ive tried one on bracelet and think it looks really very good. The dial is stunning in the flesh.

Also, and I know it could be argued that no luxury goods are reasonably priced, but I think its rather a lot of watch for the money.

Absolutely. It’s a *ton* of watch for the money, it’s just too big and the cottier ring too small.

    L2L 50.1mm IIRC.

Check out the watch box review(s) on YouTube.

Geophysic been and gone. If I was going that way I would love the VC world timer with 1/2h and 15m zones like India included. But the price point is way high so would require saving up in the piggy bank a bit longer.

Or maybe trade for my 4500V (blue)?

Or just go all in with a 5935? Should’ve thought it right up your street!

I loved the look of this watch when released, but never quite got around to trying one. I was in the Edinburgh Chisholm Hunter in early December trying something else, and I'm sure they had one of these, so they are in boutiques. Might be worth a call to see if your nearest has one or can get one to try? My worry was size, but if anything in the metal it certainly didn't look excessively large.

A real beauty IMO and a really nice execution for a worldtimer. Much prefer them over GMTs

I’ve just seen the MRP …. Hum I’ll have to get my man maths calculator out.

I am guessing rare considering the chrono24 prices add a 0 to the ask.

By the time one becomes available at list perhaps I can afford it…. Same ballpark as the 5234G but doesn’t make it any more affordable.

It’s a white hot new PP release and unlikely to be anywhere near list (ever) unless you get one allocated at your AD or Boutique Martyn.

Whereas the 5234 is freely available at under MSRP but IIRC you have that already?

Yep - I do have the 5234 (under list). I have to make a call to my AD about the Patek - but would like to see the VC - difficult to see without a trip to Lisbon - and the Omega (AD next to the Patek salon)

Seems a good price. But I do need to try one for size and fit.
