The choice to stick with an ‘in-house’ upgraded ETA copy and soft iron antimagnetic inner core makes the Ingenieur a sort semi-historical reproduction or re-issue. A few of the best recent refinements have been maintained, with the modern bracelet and crown guards, while other parts feel bit closer to the Genta version. No doubt they would be encouraged by VC’s very faithful 222 reissue and perhaps even GS’s heritage collection reissues. But it’s not quite a living modern watch in terms of the movement, when Omega and now Tudor and others are making genuinely anti-magnetic METAS certified watches for less. It becomes a (rather expensive) souvenir of how anti-magnetism used to be achieved in the old days.
FWIW I quite like it if money was no object, though the crown guards might push the dimensions slightly beyond my comfort zone. They did with the slim but slab-like previous version where they seemed to blend into the case from some angles. They may have fixed that on this one though, they’re certainly redesigned and we’re assured it wears well for its size.

New Seiko GS - automatic chronograph... quite nice actually.

When do omega launch theirs?
The new Chanel J12 'Cybernetic' from W&W. Not at all my taste, but a really striking watch. Apparently to represent the melding of digital world with hours, celebration of the pixel, blah, blah.

IWC also released some new Pilots which went under the radar a bit with all the fuss over the Ingenieur. 41.9mm ceramic chronographs in black and blue. I've always liked the black Top Gun chrono but it's been too big at 44mm. This size should work much better. I suspect white Lake Tahoe and Mojave versions will come later this year.

Tag Heuer doesn’t get a lot of love but this is really lovely

I agree - the new Carreras look really good. Will be interesting to see the proportions in person, especially thickness, but I really like the curves in the crystal and dial.
I really like the various vintage inspired Carreras TAG have released over the past few years. Not so keen on the modern stuff. This seems like a cool in between but not sure I’d pick it over the recent Panda / Montreal etc. I’m looking forward to trying one in time though.
They’re also asking for speedie pro money. I wonder how many people would choose a Carrera over a moonwatch (excluding me!)
That is very nice. I seem to remember seeing a Carrera tourbillon from W&W. Amazing achievement, but does the marriage of Carrera and tourbillion work?!

The pixel design on the dial is certainly striking. But once they went the whole way and made the whole right hand side of the case out of giant pixels, it became a sort of conceptual art piece that is saying, what exactly? That the world used to be analogue and now it’s digital? Blah blah blah, indeed. It’s hard to imagine why someone would spend a no doubt insane sum to make this particular public ’statement’. It reminds me of the perplexing Swiss sense of humour over at Moser with their analogue Apple Watch. I’ve never got that joke either, and I have no idea what point this pixel watch is trying to make.
These however, just look cool (in a Cruella de Vil way), they’re black and white because they can be and that’s enough. It’s certainly working for this lady:

This has piqued my interest. The new offering by Austrian watchmaker Carl Suchy. The Belvedere is designed in Austria and manufactured in Switzerland. It comes in black, white and this blue version. The first edition is limited to 100 pieces.
Was very taken with De Bethune's new, elegant, minimalist chono the DB Eight -
...then I saw the price: £90,000!
I mean, you don't expect Casio prices from haute horlogerie, but seriously?
De Bethune, 'Ogival' lugs IIRC.
Honestly I do think they are taking the piss with the pricing for that model.
"Sir, can I interest you in our most basic three hander with the finest ETA 2892 clone adorned with a fancy rotor? All yours for the very reasonable price of EUR 6.400, comes with all the cachet of our microbrand operating since 2017 and of course the heritage we just 'revived'."
Here's a local newspaper article about them (it's in german though):

New Longines Spirit, a bit pricey at £4200.00 but the Black one look's nice.
