These things are bought by collectors and the intrinsic value is way less, same with watches , we pay a lot for things we like. I use fidget stuff as have a mundane job that entails reading a lot of reports at home, they really work for me.

Knucklebones are great fidgets , cheap and months to master

    Now have

    Knife
    Flick pen
    Clicker
    Slider
    Two knucklebones
    Ultem worry stones
    Beads
    6 spinners
    A Lautie ring spinner

And only use 3 of those

The ring spinner, an Ultem spinner and one of the knucklebones

Rest totally useless apart from a nice little collection on the desk

Are there any truly silent spinners available?

Is there any spinner that already has the great bearings and I can just go and buy one?

Some don't tell you, so will be standard 5 but tbh they are quite quite

Sacred Spins sell better ones although his site is shut down for a short break

    Thank you.
Maybe I’ll wait for the Sacred Spins to open again.

I have just bought one from these from BlackCloudGB on Etsy:

It is does not spin freely (unlike the KAP spinner I bought from Daveya here), but it does rotate and also slides in many directions - all done with magnets. It also has a good heft to it.

It is nice to have alternative ways to fidget!

This thread lured me into buying a Verso spinning top. They didn't have any spin stations available (other than in sets) so I bought one of these make-up mirrors https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07G988Z...roduct_details - it works rather well as a spin station (I can't vouch for its effectiveness for applying make-up!)

    That's a mirror when I click it?

I just bought a Lautie Shuffle , snip at 200 quid

Yes - it's a concave mirror. It arrived yesterday and best spin so far was 8 mins (I'm a bit of a novice!)

I did order a concave glass base from the States (via Amazon) but the edges were ground glass rather than the polished glass description, so it went back. That had cost me 50gbp - I thought that was pricey so a Lautie Shuffle won't be arriving anytime soon :)

Interesting, never heard of these will take a look.

I'm not fussed about spin times, I know many are, whatever floats you , I'm a fidgeter so whatever works really

The only reason I bought it was a comment in a Facebook ad for the Verso (I really must stop accepting cookies) where a guy said he found mirrors to be just as good as the dedicated spin stations.

  18. #268
I've no idea what that does tbh

That is 6” wide, how on earth are you holding and spinning it, or am I missing something?

    These are quite special

Lautie Sam bronze copper, bought new, but I also have a Mechanic ring and decided to keep that.

    https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1307...n-gyro-spinner

Paid £130, yours for £90 Inc RMSD

Also KAP Ultem, I have two, don't ask how, bought new from KAP, paid £150 Inc pist and extra bearing, yours for £100 Inc RMSF

    https://www.kapedc.com/product/mini-...y-08-00-pm-est

Included with this is a ceramic bearing which gives a little bit more feedback which I like, but also has the main steel bearing plus a spare

    Looking great Dave.

Has the Uber expensive one landed yet?

2 Ultem ones was a bit daft lol.

Would love to buy one but the new racing wheel and seat (and mods) have put me back a fair bit this month.

The Ultems are my faves but can't justify two

    And sold

Will have an original Lautie Shuffle for sale soon, as I've ordered another one on different material, you won't find one much less than 175 and you have to be members of an official group, a lot of stuff on Etsy and eBay are fakes.

I got couple fakes from Andy here to see if I liked it and I did, so bought one , so for 160 Inc delivery I'll sell mine and throw in the two from Andy, one a haptic coin the other a shuffle , paid 25 quid for them.

    Let me know if interested

Do you have a source for these in the UK, or elsewhere?

I am struggling to find anyone going above 5 on the scale, or not mentioning it at all.

Am sure I messaged you about it, but gave my in & sent folders a spring clean, sorry!

Interesting thread. I noticed, I normally have something in my hand, a pen, bottle top of something when working. Quick trip to B&M and i bought a £3 fidget cube. The on/off switch and roller ball are pretty satisfying. The expensive ones on here do look nice.

Have got a few ceramic bearings, quite expensive like 12 quid+, not any better just different in terms of sound and speed

Looks lovely! Is it textured or just visual pattern?

  50. #300
Textured , has a very unique feel to it, it's layered Zirc and titanium, so you can feel it, very subtle but totally different to smooth metal
