Thread: Is it me or is this watch a fake?

Is it me or is this watch a fake?

I was browsing Omegas the other day on eBay and came across this, looks like a NTTD watch but doesn’t say much in the description.

Seller has no feedback and it’s not down for the authentication scheme.

I’m assuming it’s a fake and seeing there is people bidding on it up to £500 plus so far. I reported it to eBay suggesting it’s a fake but it’s still live, hopefully someone is not going to get there pants taken down.

Hard to tell from those excellent pics, either that or stolen.

Wrong description and reference number - “rose gold” and wrong strap (never sold on a rubber strap). Something wrong and as said - lovely pictures! Someone mixed up their pics?

It won’t qualify for the eBay authentication until it reaches £1500.

    Seller has listed post.
So I guess if it doesn’t get pulled by eBay bids would rise beyond that price.

Reported it as well so hopefully gets pulled before somebody loses out.

Someone’s in for a nasty shock, up to £500 plus, can’t understand how eBay hasn’t taken it down and why people are bidding on it?

eBay seem very reluctant to pull listings these days even when good evidence is given.

Let’s hope their authentication program does its job.

I have seen a copy version of this watch in the flesh and its very good indeed and would certainly fool most buyers. The biggest initial giveaway is the engraving on the caseback which is spaced incorrectly and the font is too thick.
I don’t buy on eBay but if I did it would only be through the authentification scheme. I mean, why wouldn’t you as its free and means you’re 100% covered if the worst happens.
