    PSA: New Royal Mail Scam.

Today I received a text as shown in the first screenshot. When I clicked on the link I get what's on the second screenshot.
I have two parcels on the way, both have different tracking numbers to this. I also have the Royal Mail app and this number is not recognised on their tracking system. A scam so beware guys and Happy Christmas.

They're getting very realistic now. The "webpage" in my link is spot on, except its not of course.

Yes. I literally rang the number on the webpage and it was the actual UPS company. I so nearly fell for paying it as I had just ordered something from outside the EU for the first time.

Why would you even click on the link? That alone can be enough to compromise your phone.

You need to improve your security awareness.

True, but at least now perhaps someone else won't be caught out.

Good to raise awareness, I've had some older family members almost fall for similar scams

I keep getting calls from 'UPS', sometimes in chinese(I presume), I block them but it's a different number each time.

The fact that the message doesn’t contain my name or that of who sent the package is enough of a red flag to me and it would have been deleted straight away.

I’ve been getting texts and emails by the score for weeks regarding missed delivery slots, order next to nothing for delivery and don’t do Christmas so know it’s all a con and so delete all, but I can see some folk might be fretting about non delivery of something and too easy to get caught, but then read of folk getting trapped repeatedly, are they stupid? the scammers must be getting enough victims to make this worth doing, yet I see warning posts like this on various forums, Facebook, and even tv, good grief people get a grip.

I did delete it and blocked the number straight after screenshotting and before posting said screenshots on here to possibly help someone.

Thought this was going to be about charging 95p for a first class stamp.

The poor English in the text message is also a big clue that this is a scam.
