Glycine Airman GMT 42 Full Lume

Newbie. Glycine Airman. This one a 42mm GMT in PVD with full lume and a third time zone lockable GMT bezel. ETA motor. Could be a belter of a travel watch but we’ll see how we get on. Was missing a full lume in the box and this was my punt.

Love my full lume Airman (although a slightly different model).

I'll stay with mine purely for the look and color

OP what is the lume like? I have an original from the mid 50s might put it on today.

Love a full lume dial and even better with a PVD case

I'm ignorant about GMT movements so forgive a possibly stupid question but does the hour hand rotate once per 12 hours as normal or once in 24 hours as the dial numbers suggest?

The date wheel is making me twitch - is that misaligned, or is it just a trick of the angle of the shot?

Glycine actually do versions of its 'Airman' range that do both - 'Purist' models have a 24h hour-hand and no GMT function; the GMT models have a 12h hour hand + 24h GMT hand - both of those have 24h numerals but 12h cardinal indexes on the dials, then to confuse matters further they do 3-handers with 12 hour dials as well! None of this is helped by a website that doesn't make any of this terribly clear...

    I’ve been educated. Thanks

Off to the Glycine website for a look
