New Seiko Presage Takumi ‘Laurel’ 110th Anniversary Edition

Announced today. Great size but why spoil the dial with that power reserve indicator?!

First thing I saw was the partial 6. So small I would prefer it removed altogether.

The power reserve pointer does'nt bother me at all and I didn't notice the partial 6. But now I've seen it I agree and can't unsee it and it would bug me no end.
Funny how different tiny details on watches are different redlines for different people.

Nice, but too dressy and too small for myself .. not bothered about the partial 6 (although would prefer it not to be there) or power reserve indicator ..

Shame it doesn't have an actual sub seconds dial instead of centre seconds. Seems like a missed opportunity.

The calibre 6R27 has approximately 45-hour autonomy - less than 2 days. The power reserve indicator is practical.

My tolerance of clipped numerals has grown over the years though that "6" is just pointless.

Smart looking thing with the exception of the aforementioned and the strap/lug configuration. I do like a heat treated handset against a gloss white dial.

I read the comments before I look at the images. The problem is that we all know how Seiko are one of the worst when it comes to over-manipulation of stock images.

On balance I like it. Vintage in appearance, so captures the style. The numerals are classic and fairly à la mode. I think with any other design, particularly RN, it would have been a dog's dinner.
