    New CWC coming

In case anyone is interested and haven't heard, it appears they are going to introduce a WWW Dirty Dozen style watch.
They aren't revealing much but here is what I have seen so far.

From a question that I asked:

"all will be revealed very soon, it is a dirty dozen watch pretty much exact to the original designs, but its what its made from that is a bit special"

I saw that over on MWR this morning. Looking forward to seeing what this is.
It’s obviously a WWW but with a twist

What is the 'bit special' material? Is it recycled steel from the Ark Royal?

I'm definitely interested, but knowing CWC it will have an outrageous price tag.

Looks like bronze in the photo. Recycled warship propellor?

Interesting. Looks like an already-knackered version. Shame. Would much prefer a new, straight re-issue which would still sell by the bucket-load.

The image they have used does not to it any favours. For the money they are likely to charge (base on recent introductions) the quality looks pretty pants, the state of finishing on the hands and the printing of the dial is atrocious.
I am pretty sure you will be able to buy an original WWW for similar money or less than this when it’s released.

+1. If that's the best they can do as a 'teaser pic' then when it arrives I will be looking at it from a distance, sideways with gritted teeth and a severe wince ready and waiting to appear. It's a totally folly of a concept, which is allowed of course, but looks truly awful in every detail in that pic.

Edit: to be fair the texture of the dial looks quite good, but nothing else.

They have been doing it for a few years. I do agree though. I presume (hope) it was beyond saving

I am sure you are right, they wouldn't cut up a good one.

I bet Eddie is laughing quietly at this misconceived release. Having said that I am sure they can shift 50, but what an oddball watch it is.

I really like it, but I'd never pay that price.

Looks like it was designed after a late VGTG with the spare parts bin. And as for the price. Really? CWC, your standard fare is decent and honest, if a little sharp on pricing at times. But this? LE doesn't mean you need daft pricing. Either have the confidence to produce enough for it to be a non-LE, or rethink the price. May make people quickly buy other pieces while still in stock.

    Either way, not for me.

    Nice but ludicrous price.

Agree. It's a very poor effort that could have been so much better. Make it out of steel, give it a proper case back, fix the dial printing and the schoolboy error too short hour hand and you wouldn't be able to make enough of them even if the price was the same. You'd expect CWC to have more of a clue.
