Tenuous justifications for a new watch …

Just bought an IWC Mark XX.

Part of my justification to the wife, it’s a Mark XX so marks our 20th wedding anniversary.

Perfect reason, and a lovely piece that's cleverly connected to an event.

My last excuse.... "I don't want my Sinn to be lonely, so I'll buy another Sinn". Now THAT's pathetic.

She became suspicious because they'd only been married for 3 years at the time

Well, I have an old one (1970) and thought, maybe, time for a newer one... not a wife, of course..

I saw what you did there :-)

So, that's how you swung it. LOL

All part of my pitch ….

Reality is she prefers me to wear a watch on a leather strap than a bracelet….

Mine disagrees for a bit and makes me grovel, then it's "please yourself", she then makes me suffer till she gets bored, and books a holiday for us, but I'm paying, ah well, 2 for the price of 2.
