    Rolex theft

I realise there’s been been a number of post but this IG account popped up in my feed. Some of videos are absolutely frightening!

    Desperate times, harder the crimes.

I personally think you must be an idiot wearing a Rolex these days sadly.

I guess I’m lucky not to live near any cities. I wear any of my watches and tbh nobody cares what people wear on their wrists around hear. (And the sun shines).

Don't buy a house in case you are burgled.

I mean, just being on the street, you're flaunting it.

Now, don't forget to sell the car and use the bus.

Sounds perfect. Funnily enough my dad wears his Rolex in Portugal, but not in the UK these days.

Just wear them up your ass if you're that worried about theft.

Wear mine daily, never a problem. I imagine many here are easy targets though and stand out in a crowd.

I can’t agree. I wear Rolex 90% of the time. I think a bit of common sense and situational awareness goes a long way.

Obviously there are no guarantees, but if the worse happens and you think you are out gunned, hand it over and claim on the insurance, it’s just a watch.

Why would you do that? Stupid!

Trouble is, neither a house nor a car can be stuffed into a pocket and whisked away into thin air. If you think like a criminal for a moment it’s easy pickings. I do agree that a bit of situational awareness can make all the difference. I do however wonder why you’d buy one for a wife or girlfriend. I bought one for my wife back when they were about £3000 and she politely asked me to return it as she didn’t want to be mugged. We lived in Wimbledon at the time, hardly a criminal hotspot but she was very insistent. Personally I don’t want to have to worry about anything I’m wearing attracting the wrong kind of attention, wherever I am. Which is pretty sad but I guess that’s also situational awareness!
