Aaaw man!
That's tragic!
An inspiration for his battle with MND and awareness raised of this horrible illness, not to mention a Scottish legend and rugby star.
Rest easy, big man.

RIP Doddie, legend is a much overused word, but he wears it deservedly.
What a brave and selfless bloke. RIP big man.

Google lions tour and you’ll find it.
RIP Doddie.
A friend of mine passed away nearly 5 years ago from MND…..such an awful, cruel disease.
A class act throughout his long sporting and public life. Nothing but respect for him.

Damn
Quite apart from his status one of the great players, he demonstrated such great courage from diagnosis to demise.
Would that I had a fraction of his strength of character.
R.I.P Doddie
Yesterdays rugby results mean nothing now, RIP big fella.

Was at a “Friends of St Andrews Whisky Society’ dinner last night in Kincardine with guest speaker John Beattie. As he came to the event he learned of Doddie’s passing. A brave speech about his pal and one that was ever so poignant.
Rest in peace big fella and may you rise in eternal glory. You’ll be missed for the broad smile you gave in all circumstances.

RIP. Doddie.
Shared more than a couple of beers with him - deeply saddened at his passing but my god he fought to the end and raised so much for his charity to help fight this bastard of a condition.
Remarkable man fought his illness with dignity and strength. What a role model to follow. RIP Big man.
