    60s Super KonTiki love

Had this repaired and serviced early this year and dearly loving it, especially on one of Jose Aquilar’s canvas efforts. Looks like it’s just come off the back of a long range desert group jeep. That’s it, no further point to this post than I love the thing.

I was very tempted by this when it was for sale.
    Fantastic looking watch. Really nice.

Great looking watch with lots of character. I have 2 vintage 1970’s Doxa’s that give me the same warm fuzzy feeling when I look at them !

Eterna Matic KonTiki Super 1973 LE re issue but still share the love....

I'm liking the 'ghost' bezel on yours sir, the whole face of the watch kind of reminds me of the new '60's inspired Breitling Superocean's....

It had the an issue but it was one of the things that reminds us of SC at its best. Seller was amazing, proper old school SC. Enthusiasts looking after enthusiasts. We’re the last decent corner of the internet. I’ve since had it worked on and serviced and it’s lickety-split now. Just a joy.

I had the one of those very briefly before my vintage came back. Glorious thing, but a tad too large for me.

    Found this vid on YouTube.
This guy really likes his KonTiki’s (and snowflakes)
I didn’t realise there were so many variants

I had this for a while when it was cheap (ish) and loved it.
Glad to see that they're getting the renaissance they deserve as they've been wildly undervalued in the past.
Looks like it's got a good life with you ahead of it :-)

Oh, that's a blast from the past.

I used to own this one for a while.

    Really miss it

It went to Peter Roberts, THE Peter Roberts, and came back just perfect.

I had a long conversation with Peter a few years back. Absolute legend & supremely knowledgeable

Amazing man. I had an intro through a friend (and indeed a long-standing member on here). Peter did an incredible job. I hadn't realised he was responsible for the Bremont three piece case design.

I don't usually regret selling a watch once I've decided to let it go. One of the few sales that I do actually regret was this Eterna Kontiki Super IDF issued watch. Sold it to a member on here some time ago - I wonder if he still has it?

That's a thing of absolute beauty. I had one of the 73 reissues for a while and I thought it was very handsome. Sadly just a fraction too big for me.
