    RIP Leslie Phillips

    More sad news,

In gentler time's "ding doing" said it all..
"Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action."

'Populism, the last refuge of a Tory scoundrel'.

Horrible news - what a character!

Did well to get to 98.

    Will be sadly missed.

    RIP Leslie.
    Cheers,
    Neil.

Aw no, sad to hear this.

About ten years ago someone gave me his autobiography as a Christmas present. What a life.

A genuine legend of British comedy.

He gave us a lot of pleasure (Ding Dong!) over the years.
So clever my foot fell off.

Sad news, although as he'd suffered a 'long illness' according to the news, perhaps holding on to 98 wasn't so great.

As others have said, he'll be missed.
