Thread: Huaxing No. 2819 Jaxa Case Wrench

Huaxing No. 2819 Jaxa Case Wrench

I just bought a Huaxing No. 2819 Jaxa Case Wrench from Amazon:

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07K256DPC/

I was impressed by the build quality given that it was only £15. They have copied the Bergeon model no. and packaging Aldi style.

Normally I'd buy the Bergeon but it retails for over £200. Need to make cost saving during these difficult economic times.

Yup, I bought one of these Chinese clones years ago and it's given me very good service. I paid a similar price.

I'd love to buy one of the Bergeon models but I regret to say that I doubt it would be 12 times better.

Only thing I've discovered from practice is that it is better to just use the two matching 'horizontal' pegs and ignore the 'vertical' peg. This actually reduces slippages and gives me more control over case back opening and closing.

I'd like to think that the Bergeon version had tighter tolerances and thus made the third peg more useable but I might be disappointed. It doesn't matter though -- with practice I achieve good results with my clone.

Had one for years and opened a variety of makes with no problems. Very good value.

As said, the two prong versions (or 2 prong use) work better.

Never used a genuine Bergeron though.

It's like anything else in the case of Bergion, you're paying for the name. I own a genuine Bergion 2819 2 pronged version of the jaxa, I bought it about 3 year's ago but I've only used it about 3 times.
I bought a cheap 3 pronged version around 7 years ago & it work's just as well.

In some things money doesn't necessarily mean better.

Edit: just checked & I paid £80.00 for it, they are around £120.00 now. Madness.
