    Rear Reflector MOT failure?

My 2011 Honda CRV has a small hole in the rear reflector. I'd say it affects 25% of the surface.

It looks a pain to change as the rear bumper looks like it needs to come off.

Is it an MOT failure seen conflicting reports?

    Thank you

I wouldn't think so, I can usually get mine greased by for small things like that but I guess it depends what kind of garage you use... Go to a local joint and try it on

    Rear Reflector MOT failure?

If you are unsure, when passing, stop by a MOT centre and as the to take a quick look.

If you’re nervous perhaps stick one of those bicycle reflectors over the hole with double-sided tape when you take it in for the MOT.

Motorcycles definitely fail for no small red reflector. As stated above go to a car parts shop and buy a flat reflector that covers the damage.

Yes that may be the best possible answer here... And see if it passes!

Brand new rear reflectors for the CRV range in price from about £6 to £20 depending on the vehicle year and where you buy it from. If the reflector is broken then just prise it out with a spudger, you'll break the remaining clips off but you will have the new reflector in place in about 3 minutes, it's that simple!

% missing to fail seems to depend on MOT tester, far better to replace as plod might have a different interpretation of the law?
