They have changed the recipe to bring them in line with HFSS legislation. They now taste bland and ‘muted’.

They are now baked and not fried apparently.
Whilst I have got used to the taste of the new ones the first time I tasted them it really was disappointing.
Not as moorish as they used to be.

Surprised that they were ever fried.

An age ago in my first office job it was always wise to have a sniff of your phones ear piece, encase you’d won the empty scampi & lemon nic naks to ear piece roulette.

Bloody hell,, had a couple packs the other day and thought Jesus they must be out of date or something, hadn’t realised they had changed the recipe.

They always did. Cheese let's were better but they've been mucked about with as well.

That is disappointing to read, always loved a Twiglet. Christmas won't be the same again.

Whilst on the subject of Twiglets, anybody remember Worcester Sauce Twiglets? They were epic!

They were always baked. They were/ are quite a healthy snack, apparently, compared to some.

The 60% salt reduction is going to do that & puts me right off trying the new ones.

I might have to dip them into a jar of XO (to bring them back to scratch).

You could do what Vic and Bob used to recommend, get some twigs and smear them with marmite.
    Cheers,

    Regulation destroying choice daily.

Stopped buying Ribena when you could no longer buy it without sweeteners. Most Ginger Beers and Lemonade taste of the dreaded artificials now too.

They were never the same after they stopped putting the long ones in those cardboard boxes.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

Can't beat a packet of Pork Scratchings.

Saying that, and I'm late to the party, I've just discovered Mega Puffs at Aldi. Amazing :-)
