Very nice collection, seems a nice balance of styles for my tastes
The current line up.
I have been flipping and swapping a lot over the last year, but!
I think I'm done for a little while, although if a Sinn Damaszener was to crop up? I'd at least try and make an offer for it.
Omega 2535.80 GMT
Self Build GMT (6460 mvmt)
IWC 3878-02
Citizen Promaster jp3050-55w
Sólás Starlight - Aventurine dial, micro-rotor
Sinn U2-SDR
Sinn 103 Destro
Sinn U2W
Hamtun H2 Kraken - sw200
Tudor BlackBay Red
Accutron Astronaut with Kreisler bracelet
What's been tried and sold over the last couple of years.
Vacheron Constantin 42042 blue dial
Omega Seamaster 210.32.42
Seiko Arnie reissue
Tudor Pelagos black
Breitling Superocean 2
HKed Bundeswehr homage
Steinhart Ocean one Pepsi
Seiko quartz chrono
And likely a couple of others that have passed through my hands over the last couple of years
There is certainly scope for something in the Rolex and up range, if for nothing else just for the experience of owning one.
That said I still baulk at the grey market prices. Perhaps when the son is finished Uni 😉 plenty of time for the call from an AD by then, esp if he goes on to a master's

One cushion spare?
Well that needs resolving!
Good mix there - not too samey at all IMO, and plenty I would wear!

Diver heavy, but I'd not say "samey"
Love the U2 & the IWC
Andy
Wanted - Damasko DC57
Nice collection and yep a bit different to the norm which is always cool. Accutron astronaut the standout fort me, always love those.
Very nice. If you think these look the same, you should look at my watch box!
Very nice collection sir, slightly left field (which is always a good thing in my book). I like the fact that you have tried & flipped Vacheron Constantin, Omega, Tudor, Breitling etc that shows that what you have is actually what you want & you are not following the crowd. For me the Citizen Promaster & the Accutron Astronaut are the stand outs. To be honest I would not worry about a Rolex but obviously that that is your call. What you already have is a very nice collection wear them all in good health.
Thank you.
Many thanks, I do worry that I have too many divers but it's what I like.
As can be seen from the photo, I do have a grá for Sinn and the U2 in particular.
The white face version is probably my favourite and solely because the serial is 69/150 ;)
Thanks, the astro was the 1st watch I put serious effort into finding. I am an aviation nut and when I found out about the link between SR71 and astro I had to have. More particularly I had to get one with the coffin link bracelet.
Spent quite a while looking for one and ended up buying a non runner via a US auction.
Sent it to Bob Piker for repair and overhaul, but kept the dial and hands untouched.
It really is IMO a watch that's earned its wrinkles.
It is also of all the stuff I've owned apart from the VC the one watch my 18yo son will wear without hesitation.
Thanks, it's appreciated.
I do love both those watches.
The astronaut for the reasons outlined above.
The ProMaster, for wholly sentimental ones. My late wife bought it for me as my 1st father's Day present and it holds a very dear meaning for me.
It's also what I really do wear when diving as my suunto back up.
Thats a really lovely collection and I dont think its samey at all.
Great collection , The red dial BB and the IWC I hope to add to my own at some stage .
>There is certainly scope for something in the Rolex and up range,<
An Explorer II 16570 'Polar' would seem ideal.

My current SOTC, albeit minus my Accutron Astronaut as my son has it welded to his wrist presently.
Sinn U2-W
Sinn U2SDR
Sinn 103 Military MkIV Destro
Sinn 104 St Sa W
Blancpain Leman 2185f
IWC Spitfire 3878-02
Omega Seamaster GMT 2535.80.00
Tudor Blackbay 41mm
Self built omega homage GMT
Citizen Promaster JP3050-55W
And last but by no means least, my Sólás Starlight.
Future "wants" are a Sinn Damaszener & Hunting 3006, but truth be told? It'll probably be whatever a lad I tend to buy from an another forum, flips next😉
Lovely the 2535.80 is the pick of the bunch for me!
Thanks. I appreciate the comment and I agree with you at least half of the time 😁
It's probably my most worn.
The 2535.80 and my astronaut are the only 2 watches that I've specifically sought out when buying.
The Astronaut was bought as a non-runner via auction in the US.
I was lucky enough that it was in Illinois and then sent it over to Bob Piker who overhauled the internals replaced the coils and it has run sweetly ever since.
It wears its age on its dial and hands and I have see sawed so often with maybe getting a sympathetic relume, but?
I have settled on leaving it "as-is" for now.
