    Two year wait finally rewarded

Been patiently waiting two years for this one from my AD. Longest wait I have had for any watch from them. Absolutely blown away by it, it certainly has presence

Presence indeed. Great watch, congrats :-)

    Question

Is this the 12 or 13?

Nice to hear. I tried one of these on (exhibition model) and it is a beast of a watch.

I have heard of a 13 a few times now, but does it exist? I thought the 126660 was the latest version?

136660 is the latest but I'm yet to see one. The 126660 models seems to keep trickling through.

Lovely watch, well wear. Curse my skinny wrists for having a 42mm max before it looks ridiculous

    Cool

The 12 is the best Deep Sea as the 13 lost the divers extension (cheaper bracelet per se) and who really needs an 8% larger date window?!

Agree re the date. The difference, hopefully, will be in the added AR which I think makes an appearance now. The glass on the 13 is meant to be a bit flatter and come out like the SD4K or Daytona. Unsure what difference this makes but am keen to see one first hand.

Congratulations, I’ve always had a DSSD in the collection, love them, the 126660 was the one to get, you probably have one of the last with that reference.

Totally over engineered. Super sized lump of metal. Superfluous wording on the rehaut.

    Love it!!

I guess if you’re paying the latest prices you want the latest piece though. I know I would.

Wonder if a 6 inch wrist could pull that off

The blue and black in the dial are very nice. Thanks for sharing.

I’ve got a small wrist and wore my 116660 for years quite comfortably. Definitely worth a try it’s a great watch and the non-JC one is just about the only professional model still “sensibly” priced.

I turned a 13 JC down in favour of my 12. It’s the superior reference in my view but I’ll buy a 13 with the Black dial to add to my collection at some point.

My wrist is 7:25” and I tried one of the exhibition pieces on in Goldsmiths and it was a beast of a watch. The height is also an issue as well as the width. If you like wearing really big watches then fine, but is a really big watch. I tried a SD43 on straight after it and that looked small by comparison.

That’s good that you got the chance to decide.
