New Citizen Orca Promaster Sea series

I hadn't seen the new Orca had been released until I was browsing the Citizen store today, I don't think they have been mentioned in WT either.

They look great, but steel rather than Titanium. I am very tempted with the all black version - in fact, I am going to get one in the basket and give it a go.

Looks pleasantly close to the original. This is mine on the titanium bracelet. A perennial favourite. How much is the new release?

These are great, I grew to really like the Orca over the years. Especially love the new case back.

£329 SS, £399 for the PVD but with easily obtainable 10% off

That's a lot less than I imagined they'd be. Re-issues are notorious for being way overpriced.

My pick is the blue one. I love the contrast and readability. Super crisp.

Beautiful watch, I had one on the strap that I always regretted selling. They look even better on the bracelet imo. Good health to enjoy.

    Decent price.

I had one of the originals, but it wasn't for me.

Not really sure why, but I didn't keep it long.

I think it’s superb, I had the original but this is better IMO.

Snap - unfortunately I found it like every Citizen I’ve ever owned, a bit disappointing in the metal - a horribly gritty crown action and a very loose bezel, it just felt very cheap to me. I like the idea of Citizen divers, but I won’t be hurrying to buy another

    That looks great!

I hope the all black version I ordered arrives this week.

As to the other responses about not getting along with them, I can see they are divisive, what with the size and the whacky dial, but I really like the design.
I had the original and had sellers regret, this will fill the gap nicely. Never had any issue with the bezel, or any quality issue with any Citizen that I have owned that I can think of.

Looks good that Ryan, I've also ordered the black one, perfect watch for work, should be here in the next few hours...

Thanks all. It is nice and well made although the seconds hand doesn't hit the markers completely dead on though at £350 or whatever it was I guess I'm asking too much to expect Grand Seiko functionality

You are, I've had three Omega 2264.50 and none of those hit the markers.

    Mine has just arrived!

    First thoughts:
overall the watch looks great and is a nice weight.
strap is lovely and comfy, if a little long.
    caseback is very nice.
comes in a nice hard case and has a handy LED torch.

    Slight negatives:
As Ryan said, second hand doesn't hit all the markers, not that I can see them that well with my old eyes these days.
lots of reflections on the crystal - Citizen should have used some decent anti-reflective treatment.

Well I’m suitably impressed with mine, new work watch sorted. The marker looks spot on on mine (to me anyway).

Nice touch with the packaging and the extra 10% off from Citizen, strap is comfy as well…

Happy with mine - also arrived today.
Also wears smaller than shown in the picture.

Not often a reissue looks even better than the original, but I like what they've done with these. Love how the rubber strap mimics the shape of a killer-whale's tail too, very thoughtful touch. More temptation I could do without though!

Very happy with my blue orca. Quality is excellent (second hand aligns perfectly). Very strong lime, so bit of a bargain tbh.

These do look great, especially the black one ( for me), but it does make me wonder when Citizen will ever think of a fully lumed bezel. It would look epic on one of these.

Indeed, even the strap end seems to mimic the rounded fins, love little attention to details like that.

I'd like the torch (I don't dive any more, but it's shiny!), but do prefer the blue colour scheme...

Lucky enough to bag Bob's one when he sold it.

    It's a beast, alright!

The engraved Orca on the caseback is fantastic.

Off to Turkey on Sunday, so this is my beach/ pool watch!

Nice to see that Citizen intend this to be a proper diver.

Of course, that means the strap is too long for some!

I've got a BN0085-01E (Oooh, I feel like a Rolex fan now ) and that has a very long 'rubber' strap, which actually fits over 5mm neoprene gloves, so is my 'go-to' UK diving watch (I'll be wearing it tomorrow!).

Of course, for desk diving, you can easily switch the strap to something shorter.
