Hi Keith, is it worth talking to James Hyman. I know he is superb on restoring numbers and hand infill, but he may be able to offer an opinion on restoring the dial face. Ken
My w10 from 1969 has a couple of relatively small areas of touching up on the dial and they could have been done better so like all things of this type whenever I look at the watch the small areas pull my eyes to them!
Can somebody recommend a dial restorer who could do some remedial work?
Thanks Keith

Another plus for James Hyman.Has done very good work for me.
I never received a reply from James - any other recommendations?
Thanks Keith
You could try contacting John Senior to see if he has a loose dial.
In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.
My understanding was that he has retired from watchmaking but not necessarily dealing in watch parts.

I bough a few watches from him and he serviced a watch for me as well. He didn't reply to my last email and when I heard he had retired I assumed he was completely out of the business. His website is also showing as closed but he may well be handling some requests.

His most recent on MWR suggests there might be a chance. If I was the OP I'd PM him on MWR.

Any luck, would be interested to see the final outcome if you managed to complete this.
There’s a thread on MWR about the restoration of an IWC Mk11. Not a lot of dial work, but the restorer seems to be well regarded. Sumacwatches on Instagram and YouTube. Might be worth a shot.
