Whatever one may think about the adequacy of maintaining the institution of monarchy, I have a lot of respect for her life achievement. There were certainly times when I did not agree with her, but looking at her 70 years of service, she deserves respect.

A friend in the met told me similar but could still be speculation. Although he was supposed to finish at 2pm and has been told to stay in work.

Surely only a matter of time. If she has passed, I assume they’re waiting for the family to gather before releasing a statement, and I don’t think Harry’s there yet.
Whatever anybody’s opinion of the monarchy, she has served with dignity and certainly has my respect.

Regardless of anything, the Queen has been a class act for her entire life. I wish her well and if this is her time to rest and be with her beloved Philip, then it is well earned and she will be remembered with gratitude and affection.
