Great to see it being driven properly, rather than parked up in a climate controlled garage!
One of the workshop's mechanics is a big BMW fan. And he (re)builds interesting BMWs in his spare time. This is his latest 'product': an M3 rebuilt in full rally trim. Absolutely correct with all details according to BMWs own cars and specs. Only the VIN# tells you that it didn't start its life as a dedicated rally car. It took him a few years to get everything according to those BMW's specs, including the special glass BMW used for their rally cars (thinner, lighter than on 'normal' M3s).
He sold the car when it was finished (last month) to WRC driver Dani Sordo in Andorra. And yesterday, this video appeared on YT. It gives one an idea of the quality of what's been built in the workshop and in spare time.

I always think Sordo is quite under-rated.
He's not been a regular driver in the WRC for some seasons, but when he is driving he's always there or thereabouts on the pace and rarely makes mistakes, perfect team driver (which I guess is why teams keep drafting him for partial seasons).

That looks like a huge amount of fun! My wife had a 320i of the same vintage, and it was a great way to learn about balance and handling.
Quality, that looks and sound brilliant.
