Hello Haarlem and the Dutch Grand Prix !

My partner and I have just checked into our hotel for the next 3 days to take in the Dutch Grand Prix.
Time to seek a local restaurant out now for the evening meal.
I know there's an F1 thread on here somewhere but thought I'd start my own personal one. 👍

Go to Bloemendaal, to the beach for an afternoon at Parnassia or Woodstock or Bloomingdale's. I don't know if you're interested in this sort of stuff: https://www.teylersmuseum.nl/en/teyl...et_language=en Worth a visit.

The circuit: go by bike. 12km from Haarlem to the Circuit. You're not allowed to go with your car and public transport is way, way to crowded. Pro tip: act as a Ricciardo fan. He's very popular here.

Jopen.... The beer is called after the medieval name for beer kegs: jopen.

But, be careful! It's also a rude name for ladies breasts. In fact, when you look the word up in a Dutch dictionary, the definition of the rude name is first on the list, followed by definition that jopen is also the 120 liter beer keg from the 14th century.

When I buy a few bottles of Jopen and my wife sees them, she only looks at me and says: "Really?"

We only get jugs over here. Which are more manageable in my experience.
