    Dark Side of The Moon

Not had a new watch for a while kind of fell out of love a little bit with them and have quite happily settled for my GMT2c and submersible .

However this one I’’ve not been able to get out of my system and have been stalking for at least the last 24 months.

Huge surprise when the Mrs presented me with this for my 50th a few weeks back …. Couldn’t be happier

Great catch (on both fronts)! I had a biggie recently and received a kettle.

Must be great having a wife who buys you a decent watch for your birthday. My 60th was last year and I got a new iPad which I was very impressed with, it was a huge step up from the usual pair of trainers or a bottle of rum.

Nice watch, the cordura strap and deployant on those watches are superb, very comfortable.

Awesome watch - congratulations. I have the ceramic cased SMP (on my wrist as I type!) and know the qaulity of it.

She's definitely a keeper! All the more special for you for the emotional attachment. Lovely watch but then I'm biased as I own one and it has survived a huge cull in recent years.

That's a real beauty, for some reason I thought it was the Apollo 8 Ceramic with the yellow accents when I clicked on the thread... this one is far nicer

Your wife is Boris Johnson and I claim my five pounds.
(Or should that be ten pounds a year?)

You are a lucky man! My wife allowed me to buy myself a watch for my 50th!

Which will reduce your electricity bill by 10 pounds a year!!! I can't see a rolex doing that 😂😂😂😂😂

If my wife buys me a watch, technically I’m the one who bought it!!

Happy belated and congrats on the watch. I agree it’s a really great, really underrated watch. It wears rather well for 44mm too. I bought mine from Robin Henry earlier this year and I very much enjoy it. I wish it were 100m water resistant though.

Great watch and post. Best of luck two years down the line, the expectation won't be a box of Dairy Milk
