International calling

Hi folks - after some insight from the collective - thanks in advance.

For a family member looking for the best UK mobile plan for regular calls to South Africa.

WhatsApp and therefore data is the default which is easy, but at times this doesn't work as internet/data not working at the other end therfore can often be need to call SA mobile and/or landline.

Vodafone have an International calling plan which looks like for £10pm you can get 500 mins to landlines/mobiles. Which sounds like it might be the ticket, but anyone any other suggestions experince?

My Lebara SIM has 100 mins of International calls included. A fiver per month (uses Vodaphone network).
Never had an issue👍
