Which "holes" in your collection still need to be filled?

Interested in what people know they want but haven't yet got around to adding to their boxes. Not the impossible unicorns or things we can't actually afford, but stuff that you could realistically buy tomorrow and still have a desire for but the moment has never arisen.
Mine are annoyingly simple but when they've come up I've either missed them or had just honked whatever cash I had in to one old car or another and was too church mouse poor to buy them: Heuer quartz diver and Zenith Port Royal (one of the rare not ugly as sin ones!).
Whilst stuff catches my eye and gets bought, and either released or something else moved on, those two are really the last things I feel I need to complete the watch boxes.
    What are yours?

Yes I know there is one on SC at the moment but but I am trying to work out what I should shift in order to make room.
A CWC diver from 1980 / 1981 would also be on the list. This would need a few to consolidate though.

I'd love the EZM1 on SC too, but I'd need to shift a lot of what I have to pay for it!

This is the kind of high quality watch-buying (il)logic that most of us can understand. Bravo.

Dammit. Just when I think I'm done a question like this is posed.

Maybe... Maybe, a dress watch. 38mm max and probably 9ct.

Once my Dornblüth arrives, my last void will be filled. Not sure what this void should be called, maybe bespoke and traditionally made.

At that point I shall be out, resisting all further acquisitions, even new Tudors, and shall morph into some kind of old man of the forum, offering wisdom to those who care to listen.

Currently I’m thinking I need a Bettarini cased titanium Panerai and a dress watch - something out of the following: Zenith Elite, GO PanomaticLunar, Omega Globemaster. Ideally all of them

All I have is the same watch sliced ten different ways so the void I'm trying to fill at the minute is variety.

Not really holes in the collection, more the itching of phantom limbs -

    In order of increasing fiscal-absurdity:

    Sinn U1 B (blue-dial) - only thing I'd shift my standard U1 for.
Seiko SLA043 (blue dial) - only Seiko I have the horn for; stupidly overpriced - even used, and I've never actually handled one...
Heuer Monaco Calibre 11 - yeah, that one, with the weird indices and the Steve McQueen association...
Glashütte Original SeaQ Panorama Date - if they ever do a green version I'll probably have a fire sale of the rest of my collection.
Patek Phillipe In-Line Perpetual Calendar - no-one else make PCs simpler and less-cluttered than PP.

The recent arrival of a Planet Ocean 215.30.44.21.01.002 has scratched a major itch I've had for the last 3+ years.

Not sure what you should currently call it but, on arrival, I think the technically correct term would be "last but one" ... ;)

I'm with earlofsodbury on the Seiko SLA043. I have the SLA023 but have to wear it on an Erika's because it's too heavy on the bracelet (and Seiko bracelets/clasps are still crap). It's a fantastic watch but sometimes I want something a bit smaller and thinner! Also:

    Pelagos 39
    BB58 Blue
    Original Omega PloProf

I have almost bought a Reverso so many times that it's not funny. At this point, there are two barriers to me having one: first the 'normal' one, that there is always something I want a little bit more. Second is the existence of the Dunhill Facet, which has almost exactly the same history, cost (relatively) nothing, looks arguably better on the wrist and which I may have one or two of.

Something manual wind. 95% of my watches are autos. I have nothing against a manual wind, just never found the right watch.

Orange Doxa but an old scruffy one.
Azimuth Mr Roboto - I remember it from when TFB (I think) had one many moons ago on here, never really forgotten about it although I know its a mental gimmicky thing. Ace tho.
Never had a SMP but its really more of a should probably try one at some point rather than I love it and want one.
Never had a mechanical alarm watch like a cricket or bellmatic. Always meant to address that but never got round to it.

Thats all I can think of atm.

I have a military watch size hole at present. Maybe a Hamilton Khaki or CWC Mellor perhaps, maybe even a CW Sandhurst.

There is a cwc mellor on sc at the minute if you feel like filling that gap

There's only a few I'd like. As previous comments the Seiko SLA043 would be something I'd like to try. An Omega Seamaster 300 co-axial too. Like the one Ryan has on SC but just the run of the mill steel version. I had hoped one might have come up in SC (not sure if I prefer a blue or black dial).

A Rolex Oysterquartz 1700 is something I've lusted after but only if the prices fall substantially. I can't think they represent good value at around £4.5K, especially as from what I have read the parts are increasingly hard to obtain. Should have bought one a few years back when they were much more reasonable.

For me it's a Seiko diver of some sort. I know, that's so easy to fill in theory, but all the ones I like the design of are too big for my tastes.

Luckily, at £10K a pop, it's still well beyond me, even if I could actually face selling the rest of my collection...

2 things I would really like that can be affordable - a proper dress watch. Clean, 3 hand, date, thin. the 2nd is a green dial and green bezel watch.

Maybe in years down the line a gold watch but I'm not that bothered.

    Good question

I’ve never owned a proper dress watch, so I guess something thin and dressy. Precious metal Reverso or a Patek 5196

I also really like the pre-Tritium era Rolex divers and GMTs as well as the Tudors from that era. Think I’d be brave enough to wear a radium dial a couple of days a week. So a 5512, a 6538 or a Tudor 7928 or 7924 would all be something I would consider buying if condition and price were right.

A couple of obvious ones for me.

A traveller GMT. I’ve been ‘on the list’ for a Rootbeer forever, but no luck yet.

Something with a 36000 bph movement. If I don’t end up getting a Rootbeer I may combine these two and get a GS GMT Hi Beat.

An AP. To complete my trinity with my Aquanaut and Overseas. I think a three hander 37mm would be perfect.

Instead I am considering moving on my overseas to fund a Breguet.

I’ve no idea what else I need, which pretty much sums up my state of mind for watch collecting. If I could see the end state the chase would be over.

I have some which I’ve not had that have always floated around in my mind, Zenith mango, GO Panomatic, Fortis cosmonaut art etc.

Day-Date 40 Rosalor full gold president bracelet with hidden clasp, chocolate dial and baguette cut diamond. Yummy.

I tried one on (display only model of course) and it looked fantastic. Only a slight problem something like 50,000€

I’m looking forward to seeing what the microbrands and the Chinese homage manufacturers do with this new Seiko NH34 gmt movement.

I have a cheap Steeldive submariner and would like to pair it with a GMT master II homage.

I did say just the Dornbluth and I was out of this madness for good.

In my collection category called, "slightly bonkers dive watch" I currently have a Sinn U1, but the siren call of a Pelagos FXD really wont go away. I'm going to go tomorrow and start the depressing waiting list conversation.

Then I really am out, unless Goldsmith eventually supply the GMT Ive been waiting for for almost 3 years :(

    Its madness

    There isn't a single hole, it's still at least a dozen, but any of the following three would keep me happy for a long time;
    Speedmaster Tintin
    Bulgari octo finissimo titanium
    JLC Reverso
