As you can see the quality of the photo is woeful. Tapatalk have asked my to post a pic so they can investigate, I am paying for the vip service. That is all.

I paid for it also but I've never had a problem posting pictures before.

Just a test but see the attached picture. That's at full resolution which I don't normally add, usually it's the middle option for size, about 1000x700 or whatever it is.
This is using a Samsung galaxy note 20 ultra.

I tried positing a picture on the new arrivals thread only to end up posting a thumbnail, which looked awful.

    Am I doing anything wrong?

Open reply to thread, click to add the picture, navigate to whatever picture, choose then you should get 3 options on what size. I usually choose the middle one but remember the picture you choose has to be of a decent quality and size otherwise it will look terrible.

Thanks - when I try to add picture, I receive this message even though I thought I do have a Tapatalk account?

When I click the paper clip, that seems to insert a picture (file) as a thumbnail?

When I add a picture I just select the little mountain button and select picture I want , hit done and get the 3 options of size.

Thanks - when I select the little mountain picture, I receive this message but surely I’ve got a Tapatalk account in order to be on this forum?

The above was attached using the paperclip icon

It’s slightly blurred (compressed) like my attempt?

Yes I see that. I was only given 2 size options and opted for the larger one (which was only slightly larger than the smaller one). I've muddled through this far by sending the photo from iPhone to Mac then uploading to imgur then getting the url link and posting that. It seems a bit of a faff so was intrigued if there is an easier way. Seems I haven't worked it out yet!

I’ve now figured out what I was doing wrong, which explains the poor photos: I hadn’t actually signed into my Tapatalk account in the Tapatalk app! I now have and I have the ability to post pictures in small and medium sizes.

Thanks for everyone’s help and patience

I pay 77p a month for the VIP membership which lets me post all my photos in the highest resolution.

I thought it might be best to post here rather than start a new thread.

Does anyone else ever have any issue when using Tapatalk such as their phone getting very hot and battery level dropping significantly?

I have an iPhone 12 Pro, which on most occasions gets very warm when using the app and according to battery activity, Tapatalk caused my battery to drop by 50% when using the app off and on for an hour and a half over a 24 hour period?

Does anyone else encounter such issues? Any resolutions?
