I've just finished watching The Grand Tour's 'Skandi flick'. And it was one like the old days. Burning stuff, smashing stuff (for real this time...). I liked it!

Some genuinely laugh out loud moments, and a bit more of a story and focus on the cars, but definitely as stupid at times as you expect. A good return to form.

I enjoyed it. Just about OK amount of stupid unfunny pranks and 'mishaps', and some decent off the cuff humour. You could see that a huge amount if prep work had been required for this episode, and it must have taken a long time to film.

I'd have bet at the start that May's car would be the least reliable.

Finally, OUCH! That could have been properly serious.

Hammond trying to use the ski lift was a proper lol moment.

I’m clearly a minority here as I thought it was complete pants.
Old school staged attempt at humour (except where Captain Slow has a ding and then sinks).

But hey wouldn’t it be a strange world if we were all the same.

Thought it was a white face Milgauss

I found the episode quite boring.

It’s getting a bit like ‘last of the summer wine’. Hammond getting pushed down a hill in a bathtub, sorry shed.

I was ok, that’s is all.

Not the best episode by any means. It felt very staged with the exception of the crash.

We all know that it's staged and scripted. But personally, I don't care. The production team has used very good cameras for the scenic shots; the scenery is awesome and better filmed than my eyes can handle (figure of speech). These men are doing what a lot of us would like to try. But there's no way we can. And things can go wrong! Crashes, Argentina, Southern part of the US scenes... On the other hand it makes funny tv.

Interestingly, all 3 men can make wonderful TV on their own. And that's the difference. Often, 'band members' go ahead on their own and do not reach the level of 'the band'. That's not the case here. Nowadays, it like mates with their own lives and work, coming together to do an old stunt they used to do!

(Btw, off all three, I think that May ages well. He lost a lot of weight and the long grey hair suits him).

I’d agree with this, was a pleasant enough watch over the weekend
