I agree, we all gave City some love last night, let’s now get behind West Ham and Everton’s old friend David Moyes.

Enjoyed watching that game didnt expect that goal at the end. Great result for them.

Just switched over to the Seville game, that crowd! Looks more like a South American stadium.

    Question

Ok, can/will Manchester City beat Inter Milan tomorrow night in Instanbul?

I have a feeling it'll be a lot tighter game than the UK media are suggesting so I think 2-1 (after ET) to City "might" be where it ends up.

City are rightly big favourites but I agree people are underestimating Inter. This talk of 'The FA Cup Final was a harder game' is misplaced and Italian teams always do best when they are the underdog. I expect City to win but wouldn't be surprised if it was a tight game that went to Extra Time even.

For me the big difference is what City can bring off the bench when legs get tired. Also it won't be as warm in Istanbul tomorrow night as I'd have thought - probably around 21/22 celcius at kick off time

You only have to look at the West Ham game the other nigh, Fiorentina by far the better side on the night, West Ham score a break away in the last minute. Same could happen with City by far the batter team and Inter scoring a late breakaway.
I do hope City give them a spanking though.

Today's match vs United was the hardest of the 2 Cup finals.

Suspect Inter will try and make it attritional of course

Well both are correct. City needed a last minute winner to beat Fulham BTW.

Basically this isn't going to be a 4-0 spanking

I think this could be a spanking, 3 or 4 nil to City I am predicting. Once Inter are behind their heads will drop, they are no Real Madrid.

Don’t under estimate any Italian side especially in a cup final, they win defend with every thing they have be it legal or not. City will need to be careful for the counter attack as they’ll spend a lot of time in Inters half, so hopefully they can pinch a goal in the first 20mins as the longer it goes on the more that will play into Milan’s game plan.

Nailed on City win, media keep saying it so it must be true. Just like in Porto 2021.

I do think City will win but I also think it will be a lot tighter than expected.

I reckon city will be 3 up by half time.

Let's hope the miracle of Istanbul prevails

Everything crossed for City. Think it’ll be tight but hoping for the best.

Flying out in morning, anyone else there?

    Wish I’d come out earlier.

Fan zone is a car park with a few tents selling cans of Heineken so stay in centre as long as you dare.

    Traffic horrendous around the ground

Ake in for Walker. I guess Inter don't have the same pace as Real Madrid

Edited to add. I'd read Walker was carrying a knock so that as well to factor in.

No Walker? Is that an injury? I heard he was struggling with a back injury this week.

Inter stopping City playing their usual game, but can they keep it up for 90/120 minutes.

So far not the walk over I predicted, my bad…

City surely will come out on fire start of second half after the Pep treatment. Expecting them to score in next 15 mins.

If not, this could get interesting.

To this day I've never understood how a professional footballers does not call the bloke diving around on the floor like he's just being shot a 'cheating diving b-=t=rd' but instead goes over to see if he's ok when everyone knows the slightest touch they drop to the ground like they have been shot if the knee or back....

European cup final and your manager is trying to get the crowd going. Embarrassing

  45. #495
Inter defense doing a great job on Haaland one touch in 11 minutes totally impotent so far

City looked nervous in the tunnel and every second since kick off someone needs to step up on their side - stones is trying at least

Funny how an ex Bournemouth defender is up against an ex Everton forward - doesn’t get any better in top level European football.

Well done City, get a second.

Silva is City’s best player by a mile.
