Great read that. And much greater dedication by the enamel team.

Apparently the first 5 are sold and they're taking "expressions of interest" for the next batch.
I'm guessing it won't be cheap!
That is a phenomenal looking watch and dial.
Love seeing the skill going into such a precious piece of art.
That is stunning, especially in what looks like R/G.
Tempted to register, but does anyone know what the price and wait time is?
No info on prices but the other models are in the £35-40K bracket!
I see where you are coming from but they are an artisanal product like the others you list. I am sure there is an element of waste in dial production and they can only have a certain number of people skilled in the dial manufacturer process
They are not a mass produced watch
As such I can understand the wait list in this case.
Not my style of watch at all but I can appreciate the effort that goes in to making them.
Got a lot of time for AnOrdain, but that Struthers piece is something else again - proper haute horlogerie, and with a commensurate price attached of course!
As a knife maker, I find metal work techniques fascinating.
I'd never heard of Champlevé until today.
Really enjoyed reading the link by the OP.
Makes me want to get in the shed and start making metal dust =)

What language do they now use?
Do either SB or LB make their own enamel dials?
Assumed SB at least used a 3rd party.
Not that it makes any difference to the end product, only the expected wait times!
Having said that, demand is the big issue with anOrdain. I got mine in 10 weeks and with custom printing back when they weren't quite so popular.
My understanding was you put you name down, went on the list and when you got to the top you got to select what you wanted.
It's as fair as it gets when supply is constrained. No 'relationship' needed.
Maybe they've changed again though.
I don't like the styling (a bit too traditional) but I do appreciate the skills and the effort involved in making something like that (both the dial and the watch). Fabulous, thank you for sharing.
