    Anyone got a Steam deck?

I finally got hold of an Xbox series X a couple of months ago, and also have a Nintendo switch (original). Having pre-ordered a 512Gb Steam deck last year, I should be able to place my order later this quarter.

The only question I have is whether it makes sense or not for me. I have a reasonable library on Steam, but no gaming PC (or space for one).

For anyone that has a Steam deck, how do you find it, and did you think it was worth the asking price?

I have one that is due to be delivered to me later this week (512GB version).

Not sure whether I should sell it as I don’t really game anymore and it was a bit of an impulse reservation made last July.

The reviews do look great though!

Well looks like I am in the same boat now, my pre-order email came in so will see how it is when it arrives.

I’m interested in these (shout if you do t decide to keep). It I’ve read some reviews that’s it’s quite a beast and about 4 times the thickness of a Switch!

Had mine for a few months . If you have a gaming pc you WILL be using it less. sitting on the sofa for a few hours playing games it a lot more comfortable that on a full pc . Performance is pretty much all ironed out regarding bugs ect .
Plays all my steam games mostly trouble free
Top tip . Get buying some sd cards if you see them on offer and grab a good case to keep them in .

Yes got a 512 its awesome… i am playing games which have sat in my steam library untouched.
Emulation is slick to setup (using emudeck) and runs pretty much anything.

really enjoying playing games from the ps1/ps2/dc and gc eras .

Very nicely put together machine with a constant stream of updates
    from valve.

How long did delivery from time of order take for you people?

I can complete my order now but need to choose the delivery address. If it’s next week I will have to get it delivered to work.

    Oh, and which company delivers?

Thanks for that Matt, it’s very handy information.

Hermes are the worst company for delivery to home, so I will get it sent to work.

Following on from the post on a Sales thread.

I think this is the link for instructions I followed to get the Game Pass Cloud Gaming to work

    https://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming...he-steam-deck/

This is definitely the one I used for PlayStation Remote Play

    https://www.androidheadlines.com/how...team-deck.html

I used a Bluetooth keyboard to type the lines. It may well be easier to open these links in the desktop browser to copy and paste the command lines.

I initially had some problems with audio and video glitching in PlayStation Remote Play. I found a solution online that worked for me. In Chiaki settings I changed codec to H264 and the Audio Buffer Size to 19200.
