Assuming you're on Windows, you can click on Start, Run and then type CMD. In the Command Prompt window, you can type IPCONFIG and it'll give you your LOCAL IP address (local being key).

This is your IP address locally within your network.

If you want your external, internet IP address, you can go to https://whatismyipaddress.com/

Or you could type "what is my IP address" into Google & it will tell you your router's IP address, maybe not your PC address.

Exactly - do you need your computer's IP for your internal network or the IP that the outside world sees?

Which IP Ben? Local network or external?

On iOS, download 'Fing' from the App Store. Use that to scan your local network and it'll give you the IP addresses of all local devices.

For external, as has been mentioned; just Google "what's my IP".

Dynamic v Static External IP Addresses

If Your external IP Address is "Dynamic" it can change.

Broadband providers can supply a "Static" IP Address which never changes. You can check with your supplier what type you've got.

Most providers can’t (or won’t, I suppose) unless a more expensive business account.
