Thread: Do you wear straps the "wrong way round"?

Do you wear straps the "wrong way round"?

So, while switching straps I fit the new one the wrong way round, with the buckle end on the bottom lugs.
It looked really weird but I was too lazy to swap the ends back around so I just left it till the next strap switch.
As it turns out, I find it more comfortable to put on, maybe because I now wear watches on my right wrist and this way it is easier to handle the strap with my left hand. I am right handed.

Am I the only one to do this?

When using a deployant on leather I find the strap reversed to be much more comfortable, I guess due to the shape of my wrist.

If I remember correctly the Tudor textile/rubber strap is the "wrong" way round.

Tried it with a similar rubber strap after my Tudor BB came reversed in a similar way.

Not keen on the look, but preferred the way the excess strap didn't catch on things when on the inside of the wrist.

Left handed right wrist wearer and regularly wear straps "the wrong way" with the buckle at 6 as it prevents the head from moving towards the the outside of my wrist.

Actually a few of my watches look like that, but then I realise I've put my LHD Sinns on the wrong way up!

I had a Patek Philippe watch come back from a service with the strap the wrong way round. To be fair to them it had the 370a backwinder mechanism, so no crown to reference, but still a disappointing mistake.

It was noticed immediately by the AD and they corrected it.

I have a Calatrava and find it fits better the “wrong” way round due to the long deployant part. It’s easy to switch round though. No big deal.

I do not wear my watch straps the wrong way round, because I am not a monster of gigantic depravity that just wants to watch the world burn!

Normal buckle on the strap I have but from some of the deployant straps I do have, on other watches, I get what you are saying.

I wear NATOs like this, just seems better, the folded fabric doesn't catch as much.

When I bought my Muehle-Glashutte Seebataillon it was advertised as unused and as far as I can tell it had never been worn - however after 48 hours I realised that the deployant was attached to the rubber strap the wrong way round. Turning it round improved the fit significantly .

Next you'll be stirring your tea anti-clockwise (which summons the Devil BTW).

GS straps are mounted "backwards" from the factory. Drives me nuts, and I've always changed them immediately.

Considered bad to have tongue pointing at someone else.

Thanks, you've reminded me that there are "people" out there - grown adults who are allowed to marry, drive cars and vote - who put the milk in first, and that has given me a sad

Being left handed it feels natural for me to stir my coffee (tea is the devil’s work!) anti-clockwise.

Nooooooo, my OCD would not allow that and if I saw you I would ask you if I can correct it immediately.

PS: Am I the only one that cannot live with a clock on a micro wave, oven, coffee maker, alarm clock.... blinking (or showing the wrong time) anywhere, without asking if I am allowed to fix that?
