First thing I do when I wake up of a morning is double check that I’m still alive, then put on my specs and a watch. Never without a watch or beer goggles.
Had washed the strap that I was wearing and forgot to get another one.
Oooo, it did feel odd. A little like the time I went out on the bicycle and forgot to put a helmet on.
Although, to be fair, I'm less likely to come to harm through not wearing a watch.
Obviously too much time on my hands (no pun intended) if I'm posting drivel like this.
Do you feel odd too if you don't wear one?
It wasn't so much that I needed to tell the time, more that I was taking care not to knock a non-existent timepiece into things.
Oh well.

I went to London on Thursday to pick up a watch so I didn’t wear one. Left home at 6.30am and got to London at 10.30am. Had 1 1/2 hours before my appointment - it did feel strange and it’s noticeable to me when I’m not wearing one.
I've worn one since I was in infant school so feel really strange without one on, a bit like having a slipper on one foot and a workboot on the other. It's not right so I don't do it.
I've never understood posts by people who say they take their watch off when they get in from work, or only put a watch on for an evening out etc.
Did it today. I wear the same watch all week then often on a Saturday forget to choose one and don’t realise till I’m out and about.

Yes it feels very obvious. I was 11 when I had a Timex given to me at Xmas and have always worn a watch since.
I don't feel 'dressed' without. 😉
Have forgotten once or twice since lockdown. My work is to half hourly deadlines so knowing the times frequently is vitally important.
I didn't realise how often I unconsciously check my watch until I forgot to wear one as I repeatedly checked an empty wrist and then had to look elsewhere.
I had always assumed I just used the clocks in the office/my computer's clock/my phone for being on time but I can now safely say the watch is my primary format for telling the time.
Some folks prefer no tan lines!!!
We're going to need some tar, feathers, burning torches and pitchforks. Right, who's organising the mob? Is it baying?
(I never go anywhere without wearing some kind of watch, although I do take mine off sometimes on the rare occasion I'm doing DIY if it's getting in the way of what I'm doing.)

I always feel nude without one, got one hell of a tan line going on now though.

I'm always really wary of people who don't wear watches...
...Only kidding.
Though why anyone wouldn't want to wear a watch is beyond me =)
I wear a watch 24/7, 365 days a year, so yes, I would feel totally naked without one.
I don't sleep or shower in a watch, but I wear one most of the time otherwise.
Like an earlier poster, it's that moment of looking at your empty wrist that makes you realise how often you check the watch.

Time is control. Without time there is chaos ............................. unless ........................... chaos is actually freedom!
I see most folks around me without a watch. I always wear one out of habit and enjoyment.
“ Ford... you're turning into a penguin. Stop it.” HHGTTG
Ive done it a few times and once you realise, it bugs me a lot, Ive even got a 'emergency' watch in the glovebox ( Seiko 5 on Nato ) in case it happens.
Weirdly, I went for months in lockdown without wearing one with no issues.
Cheers..

I’m the same, I’ve worn a watch since I was around 7 or 8 years old so it always feels strange if I’m not wearing one.
Had a bit of a proud dad moment last week whilst on holiday. My 11 year old daughter forgot to lift hers before leaving and complained all week about how ‘weird’ it felt not having it on!
I only take a watch off to clean it and put it to one side while I shower, then its back on again.
Ive only ever gone out without a watch on once since I was a kid and I was VERY discombobulated and borrowed one from work to wear for the day.
I allways (99%) wear a watch, even for dirty works in the garden or so, I've dedicated watches.
With people, many times, the non-wearing guys ask me the time... because they have to look in wich pocket is the phone en then they found it, take it out the pocket and swipe 1 or 2 or even 3 times...
... to see the time on the phone!
I am lost without a watch.
