Has he tried to reset them? all the way down and hold button down for ten seconds then do the same thing at the top, it might work
I know nothing about cars but this seems to be a fount of knowledge, so thought I'd ask: a friend has a Mercedes E220D convertible and has noticed that the driver and front passenger windows will automatically raise themselves after a while (several hours) if the car is left parked.
Only the front windows do this. The small windows for the rear passengers remain lowered. Nothing else changes. He parks it (roof and windows all down) in the garage, and in the morning, the front windows have raised themselves.
It is a “thing”, and if so, for what purpose, or is there a ghost in the machine?!

Thanks, he said he'll try it. Bit odd that both windows do the same thing, seems almost deliberate. The MB manual doesn’t offer anything though, and the car was only recently dealer serviced, so presumably no error codes. Mystery at the moment.
