I have a 1973 ref 23304.42 and need to get a new battery, are there any options anyone has experience of other than JLC direct.
I purchased it freshly serviced in 2009 and have worn it infrequently since, pulling the crown out at all times it’s not worn.
What are current values on these.
I'll check when I have mine in front of me but 357 rings a bell. I wouldn't let JLC go anywhere near it as they have form for doing highly over-priced movement swaps and all sorts of other shenanigans with this calibre.
In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.
Don’t know if he’s still taking this sort of thing on, but KeithT sorted mine a while back. I haven’t worn for a while though so may need to get it looked at again…
If this is a JLC/G-P/etc. 352 movement then it takes an AG13 (high drain), also known as 357 or SR44W.
It's no different to changing the battery in any other quartz but CAUTION, the coil is exposed so be very careful.
I have two G-P versions of these watches.
