    MoonSwatch Jupiter newly ‘landed’.

So, my younger brother is a Swatch fanatic and a member of their Gold & Pioneer club (whatever that actually means :-D). Anyway, he was invited to Switzerland recently as a guest of Swatch Group for their annual jolly and, as part of this had the opportunity to purchase said Jupiter MoonSwatch. As it wasn’t really his ‘thing’ he asked if I wanted it, of course I couldn’t say no……
First impressions are mixed, the supplied strap was uncomfortable and just too short. The bioceramic is strange to the touch, it is obviously not plastic but in comparison to my Omega Seamaster ceramic it feels warmer to the touch and has a more Matt finish - if that makes sense.
Anyway, yesterday I thought I’d try the watch on a vintage suede strap and, in my opinion, it’s a transformation.
I think that the strap really brings the watch to life and makes it look far better in every way.
That said though, although the watch represents good value at list, there is no way that I would pay more than that.
Now for a very average (as usual) picture.

It still looks like a cheap plastic watch to me, but maybe one needs to see it in person to appreciate it.

That said, well done picking on up. Enjoy.

Thanks for the honest appraisal. I’ve been looking at these and was prepared to go above RRP but the more I read, the more I think I won’t bother.

    Anyway, congrats at getting yours.

I thought that before I got this one, it is a strange material for sure. I think that it is a very clever piece of marketing by Swatch Group, as I am sure many buyers ‘new’ to watches will go on to buy real Moon watches (or other Omega offerings).
In the hand these watches do look pretty good, the lume is pretty good too. However, as I said previously, not worth the premiums currently being paid. That said though, is a Hulk worth north of £20k? I suppose it’s the brave new world we live in now.

Looks good on that strap, certainly. I like these but not at the asking price (for me).

Agreed. Think would look better if some sort of graininess was visible.

Not too keen on the strap either TBH (sorry OP!).

So what is the connection to Jupiter, as I can’t see any in the pic?

The name, the overall colour, and the picture on the battery hatch.

They're the only Swiss manufacturer taking on and beating Apple at the target demographic and price point.

Beating Apple? Pretty bold statement. >50m annual units sold by Apple vs the handful Swatch are managing to knock together and drip feed into the market.
