Usually eat brekky but sometimes skip as part of intermittent fasting, find it the most effective way of shedding fat out of everything I’ve tried, even better if you skip lunch too.

    No breakfast routine here Dud.

In addition I generally fast Mon-Wed, only having a light evening meal. Thursday gloves off a bit, more so Friday and anything goes at the weekends, but again very rarely have breakfast at the weekends.

I would add that I am currently MAF training so running 30ish miles per week, with 1 or 2 being fasting runs as well.

I don’t eat breakfast or lunch. Only dinner. But a big one usually! If I am being healthy my dinner reflects if I am not it doesn’t. I can lose weight or gain weight with this routine. But have been this way for years. Yes pretty weird. I do have far too much sugar in my hot drinks and after dinner dessert.

Pitch has met me and he will agree I don’t look like someone who skips two meals a day!!!

Now, where is that weight loss thread gone!? I need to get back on the sensible diet + exercise.

    Anyone else skip breakfast?

A month ago I purchased some scales, the beer belly was becoming a bit prominent. Having not weight myself for over a decade ( I’m aged 49 ) I thought I was still around 13 stone maybe a couple more pounds thrown in for for my advanced stomach appendage.

Unfortunately the scales brought me into the 2020s with a bang! A 14 stone 12 pounds bang.

I do a very physical job and had always been able to eat and drink what I wanted without giving it a thought however now I am older my calorie intake appears to be bit higher than the energy I am burning. I’m 6ft 1” government BMI says 13 stone 2 is the ideal weight.

    So I changed my diet-

    Before-

Breakfast- Large Bowl of frosted flakes

Dinner ( or luncheon for those with manners )

Two white bread cheese sandwiches, Two large chocolate bars
    1 litre of Vimto

Tea- Large microwave meal, chips, two rounds of bread, two chocolate bars washed down with a lager.

Supper- Two small pork pies, bag of Crisps, two pints of lager.

    Now-

Breakfast- A Banana with fat free natural yogurt and honey

Dinner- Feta cheese, grape, tomato, olive salad

Tea- One bowl of home made chilli/curry

Overall Weekly beer drinking down from circa 25 pints to 12.

Drinking 3 pints water per day.

In one month I have gone down to 13 stone 10, 1 stone 2 pounds lost through dieting alone. No extra exercise as I already garden all day. I’ve reduced my weekly calorie intake by over 10,000.

I’ll be my ideal weight in under 3 weeks.

    Yep. Haven't eaten breakfast since I was 13. I'm 46 now.

Just can't face food in the morning.
