Bad news for me, less than 200 yards from the office and I walk past it every day
I have a feeling it could get expensive
:-)

speaking entirely as an "out of towner", absolutely, yes. On perception alone, which I know isn't factual, the scene outside of Grand Seiko in Knightsbridge is a very busy main road full of heavily polluting high end vehicles that really shouldn't be there, a very rough and ready Starbucks cafe opposite that only ever appeals as a takeaway and just down the road on the same side as Starbucks, a Sainsburys local convenience store. Gives the impression of just being another densely populated urban high street. New Bond Street on the other hand, far queter, far less cars in the general area, seemingly far more upmarket stores.
a move to Mayfair for Seiko / Grand Seiko really appeals to me, far easier to avoid all the Harrods tourists during the summer months as well.
Agreed, Mayfair is Ground Zero in London for watch shopping
I wonder if they'll have a "Zaratsu" polishing elf on site?
