I see Liverpool have to go to the Etihad as well so they'll have a big say in the title race

I can't see Liverpool beating city.

Meltdown by United now. Playing like dirty fooking barstewards now. The challenge of McTominay in Gakpo was a leg breaker

He won the ball cleanly. You can’t then stop the momentum of your body. Everyone is soft as shite these days.

They do step up against City though and Liverpool look like they've picked up form. A draw for Liverpool at the Etihad would be handy for Arsenal and looking at this I'd bite your hand off for an Arsenal draw at Anfield

Yellow card. VAR didn’t disagree. It’ll be a
non-contact sport if we’re not careful.

City are the biggest thorn in Liverpool's side. Arsenal though I think they could prune.

Couple United players reverting to type after a purple patch

Bruno Fernandez has to be the single most irritating player in the league the flop for the elbow was laughable

Just watching him now utterly embarrassing no effort at all. even worse when you see he’s wearing the captains armband.

Rough reckoning.......Utd players picked up 2 million for that. A donation to some charity is in order.

Will be interesting to see the fallout? ETH is unlikely to take that level of performance.

It may be the fixture list finally catching up, too many games etc

Was worried when we started with the non Scoring no9 as a midfielder

    Well done Liverpool

Not in the BP now, United totally lost their heads, game plan and wheels came right off, fair play to Liverpool, football is a funny old game sometimes!

Momentum is one thing but he knew what he was doing with the follow through, a lot of united players lost their head, Fernándes and Shaw especially.

Amazing that they are 3rd with a plus 6 goal difference.

Strange old season, hopefully Liverpool kick on, spurs are being spurs so should be caught for 4th, amazing to think we would take that now after last season but such is football.

    Arsenal keep going as well.

Great morale boosting win for Liverpool and great for Gakpo and Nunez to get amongst the goals for their confidence.

Just one of those days for Yernited, happens to every team every once in a while.

Top 4 realistically on for Liverpool now but Madrid, City, Chelsea, Arsenal all in the next few weeks is a tough run.

Given today do you reckon Liverpool may send a full strength side to Madrid to try and turn that around? Madrid aren't that good a side being a distant 2nd to Barcelona so score 1st and it could be on. Chelsea came back from losing 2-0 1st leg against them last year to go 3-0 up in Madrid

Great performance last night, most importantly 3 points. Let’s not get too carried away as we have some tough games coming up and we need a run if we are going to be in with a shout for too four.

The front three were on it last night, as was Robbo. On the former, the front is looking bright, sad that Bobby is leaving but the evolution plan at the front looks good. Diaz and Jota to add in that mix too.

Getting Konate back was also a big part of last night bolstered by Fab playing with a bit of spark

i think the future at cb has to be van dijk and konate, konate is still a work in progress but he has all the attributes.

For all the plaudits Utd have been receiving lately, they are 6 points better off than last season , have scored a goal more and conceded three more .
A lot of their performances have been quite poor and they’ve had plenty of ‘luck’ in a number of games .
Their captain yesterday was an embarrassment to the team and the game . Hopefully his antics will get looked at by the authorities but I’m not holding my breath .

i was surprised he wasn't sent off for pushing the assistant referee, you would imagine that will be looked at.

Yup - Should have walked. Also a proper ban for the bell end pitch invader. At least Jurgen gave him some abuse.

Particularly as Salah got a yellow for removing his shirt to celebrate the record breaking goal which is apparently worse than manhandling an official!

Fernandes can be a lovely footballer but he’s like a spoilt brat and has history with his behaviour. He wouldn’t last 5 minutes under Pep or Klopp

A great weekend for Gunners with brilliant performances in the EPL and in winning the Conti Cup. Good times at Arsenal. I even heard a Spurs fan on the radio saying he’d take Arteta!

As a Manchester United supporter (yes, there are still a few of us about today) I wouldn't disagree with that. He's an embarrassment at times.
