What the hell was Pope thinking!

Looking at Newcastle they are trying their utmost and running through brick walls. Would be a shame for them to lose on the day they are commemorating Atsu and Robson but they are for sure putting the effort in.
If it stays like this it will be a great result for Spurs
Newcastle have been the better team despite the score line.

I don’t agree with any player missing the chance of a final for a card handed out in the league, completely different competitions. Finals should be about both teams fielding their strongest sides.
Stuff happens, it's a domestic ban. It's fairer than Newcastle having 9 days to prepare for the cup final and united having less than 72 hours

I was pointing out the previous poster, who said finals should be about 2 teams putting out their best teams.
United only have themselves to blame, but the authorities never help the situation, could have easily played the Barcelona game a week earlier

That’s the third team this season that have had one shot on target against Citeh .
It will be interesting if united were watching, the diagonal ball from the right seemed to cause Newcastle all sorts of problems

The one thing that is starting to irk me some is the it’s ok you can kick lumps out of Saka and won’t get carded.
It was apparent in both games this week - not that I would have changed the score in either game mind you
What is actually happening at Chelsea ? Is it the manager being out of his depth ? Interference from outsiders ? Player power etc etc ?
Such a crazy situation going on there.
Watched MOTD. How on earth did Man City not win yesterday? Some incredible goalkeeping and also Haaland missed an utter sitter. Score should have been 5-1 to City.
Potter out of his depth. He did an interview yesterday where he said he team were unable to deal with a 'well prepared Southampton side' and 'it is what it is'.
He should be sacked for that interview alone - this 'well prepared Southampton side' are bottom of the league with no manager and as for 'it is what it is', Chelsea have spent £300m in Jan and have ended up a worse team!
Hi Tony, wishing you a fast and smooth recovery mate. All the best.
Re the interview it is here;

Wishing you a speedy recovery Tony.
Inexperienced owners, mid table manager a collection of talented players but as you saw yesterday against Southampton a proper team outclassed a squad.
Pointless IMO getting rid of Potter now ride the storm till the end of the season get a proper manager, clear out the dross and move forward.
Get well soon Tony.
I FEEL LIKE I'M DIAGONALLY PARKED IN A PARALLEL UNIVERSE
Wishing you well Tony; hope the steroids provide well earned relief and that you'll soon be home and resuming projects.
BW, dunk
"Well they would say that ... wouldn't they!"
How on earth are Leicester not out of sight here? Just wait, United to nick it against the run of play
Yes I agree, they really need to take their chances but then their top man is Iheanacho, he is not the most clinical of finishers.

Great ball from Bruno and an accomplished finish.

If you don’t take your chances in the Premier League, more often than not it’ll come back to bite you. Sad to see Vardy as a bit part player now too, was a goal machine not that long ago
No coincidence that Spurs have looked so much better in the games Conte hasn’t been in the dugout. They’ve been excellent today and very positive.
I wonder how Howard Webb will spin the non-red card for ManU's Sabitzer?
'All the officials, including the ones in Stockley Park, were unsighted?', perhaps?
