    True

    But we’re not Tottenham

So it will probably be a 3 all draw going off recent results 😂

Their defence lasted longer than ours against Bournemouth and Southampton... and Toon'll have 2 days extra rest as we play Chelsea on Tuesday before we play them...and likely to be in holiday mode after dropping from top spot.

Even if that wasn't the case Spurs fans that have travelled deserve better than this showing. They have Man Utd at home next, I think a few Levy out banners maybe snuck into that one.

Surely only Bruce will take the Spurs job now. I’ve said this before but Spurs without the lure of London are Everton.

Not even that with Levy in charge I would contend.

Aye true. Top players and managers must be telling their agents “not Spurs”.

The DVD 'Spurs at Newcastle - 21st to 45th minute - no goals conceded and an attacking break by Son' will be available from their club shop imminently.

Better late than never. From a nightmare into a lovely dream.

Relegation looks a bit more distant now and we are in the semi final of the Euro conference cup.

Yep, mid table and the conference cup would do me.

Liverpool, City and United in the next two weeks though so we are far from safe atm.

Only one of those three is really truly diffucult to get a result from, if we’re being honest.

He’s such an awful sportsman. So much talent but wasted by constant cheating and play acting. He’s not along but a true master of the art.

And not great for the final tbh. Brighton a better team and more likely to give Man City a game. Great set of penalties until March.

So now potentially United may be only ones to stop the noisy neighbours from a historic treble.

Aye he’s a top player. I’m sick of seeing them b*st*rds celebrating. I’d rather Newcastle beat them than Sunderland in a final.

I hope City do to them what we did to Spuds today.

The thought of playing them in a final raises the hackles . I still remember being told to F… off back to Manchester after the semi final in 2011. A horrible self entitled fan base.
But. I’d play them over Brighton any day of the week . If we are on our game we will make the Watford final seem closely contested.

    I do .
I had £50 on them at 9-1 when I saw the team sheet and the Mancini rumors were doing the rounds.

I was torn today. The thought of playing them at Wembley is awful but I honestly think Brighton would give us a much bigger test. The only way we lose this game is because of fatigue and/or a helping hand from PGMOL. Besides Shaw, there’s not a single player I would choose in the same role anywhere on the pitch. And that’s only because Ake isn’t a conventional full back.

Unless I'm suffering a crisis of memory I distinctly recall City losing at Old Trafford this season. City are a good side but are hardly peak Messi Barcelona - they could lose to United.

No, you’re right . They were much the better team that day and weren’t helped in their victory by the referees/ PGMOL in any way shape or form , No sireee , nothin* to see here.

Same thing could happen again. I do remember it was the 'definitely no way is Rashford offside' goal where Rashford was actually offside

Im sure some of the comments on here are just for bait??

Im a united fan and felt sorry for Brighton (who are a joy to watch) they carved us open easily throughout the game and dominated the midfield throughout but lacked end product I'd dare say had the young striker up front played it may of been a different story, likewise we set up like a team that had been stuffed last time out and being hard to break down and reliant on individual brilliance (been our go to game plan most of the season) but it wasnt there yesterday and we were fortunate to go through.

Im under no illusion if both teams show up city walk it and with the added incentive of the trebble I cant see past them but you just never know
