its as clear as day, why some people want to pretend it isnt happening is bizarre, as another poster said just be up front that you are ok with it instead of dancing around the subject.

Man city is a sports washing project, im sure most city fans couldnt give a toss.

Oh and it’s city that have spent the most money since the inception of the premier league.

    It’s not hard Ivan
Every time you bring up City’s spending, it’s the full outlay .
When I counter with Liverpools outlay, you immediately switch to your net spend . Am I right ?
I’m not going to deny City’s spending but let’s be honest , FFP and the like was designed to keep the historical clubs at the top was it not ? Barrier after barrier was and still is put up to stop the upstarts competing . Newcastle is a prime example of this . The richest club in the world and they can’t spend their money ??
Meanwhile, Barcelona , Madrid and United are racking up debts like there’s no tomorrow.

If City are using roundabout tactics to beat this system, then more power to them .
We’ve been cleared in court and it irks you . Take it up with CAS if you’re unhappy .

Classy flag at the Derby on Saturday by the way .

Why wouldn’t net spend be part of it ?

City have spent 800m more than Liverpool, it’s a fact.

City haven’t generated 800m more money than Liverpool, your owners just throw the cash in.

I don’t know what you’re argument is and why you can’t accept that City are just pumped full of cash from your owner.

Show me one post where I have denied the money coming from our owners . One !!
I don’t deny it and I love the fact that they see fit to invest on the pitch . Much better than withholding it surely ? Or taking it for themselves ?

Good to see my club CFC. has not forgotten its history in regard to managers

TT had a lucky end to last season finishing fourth a string of nearlies in regard to cup competitions was very stoic during the forced sale but has obviously started the pre season and season with big issues possibly due personally with his divorce as his behaviour on the touch line has been quite crazy.
I wonder if our new owners have Big Sam on speed dial?

"Let's let a fading manager make a complete hash of a transfer window, whilst paying massively over the odds for middle of the road players and then after we've spent all our cash doing that let's sack him, appoint a new man who will inherit all the shite and will insist on starting again in the next transfer window, thereby ensuring we pay over the odds once more. Probably for unsuitable players again. After 18 months let's sack him." Rinse and Repeat.

Maybe the thought of a second failure of a PSG manager doesnt interest them? who knows. I had forgotten about poch, im sure he will be linked to all vacancies for sure. I think Potter is more likely for Chelsea though.

Good point regarding the PSG connection. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out for sure.

'Failure' consisted of Winning the Champions League and Super Cup as well as Club World Championship so I suspect Boehly would bite your hand off for a repeat!

Potter could be v good for Chelsea if given time and possibly being allowed to bring his Brighton scouting dept with him

My money was on Brendon at Leicester to be next to get the chop, didn’t see this one coming. They should treat managers like players and work to windows. Poaching someone else’s manager mid season is just unacceptable. Fair enough if you have an unemployed manager in the wings, but head hunting others shouldn’t be allowed.

The only reason any sane manager would want to go to PSG is money. They’re pretty much a shoe in for league title every season and, given Mbappe’s ever increasing influence at the club, it’s a poisoned chalice of a job.

Says it all sorry but as a CFC supporter i do not want him anywhere near my club as to Potter might work has done well at Brighton but it would be a quantum leap.

Potter should be recognised for his talent but Chelsea is a basket-case of a club. If giving TT £280m to spend then sacking him a week later isn't a sufficiently loud warning bell then....

So good to see Chelsea sticking to our knee jerk reaction to a poor start to the season

As for who might be available. Crikey that’s a tough call.

Potter the obvious target. But may not be viewed as cosmopolitan enough and he hasn’t won anything.

The Special One. I hope not. Not again please.

Poch. Good grief no. Finishing second in what is really a one horse race says all you need to know.

Brendan. Ex Youth Team manager. Not sure. But I think it’s a No.

I know it won’t happen but I’d love to see Carlo Ancelotti return. If ever a guy deserved better treatment it was him.

2-0 down, a missed penalty and an open goal - could be 4-0.

Diaz is a one man team at the moment.

Why so long to bring Nunez on.

Has a Liverpool fan ,I can’t help but think they’ve done this to themselves but not investing in the squad properly over the last couple of years.
Yes they’ve brought players in ,but not world class ,plenty of young blood but no where near enough quality to rotate the squad.

Yes. They have usually only spent big after selling off Assets.

Presume the past successful CL runs and high Prem finish prize money has been spent elsewhere - stadium redevelopment maybe or dividends for owners.

Looks like its run like a very tight ship but I guess you could say its been run sensibly business wise compared to other clubs. It does appear to me Klopp had to balance the books without much of the prize money

They needed to sell Salah and use the funds to buy players, he has done a auba, got a huge contact and downed tools. Selling Mane was also a huge mistake.

Putting the Bellingham deal off until
Next year wasn’t a great decision.

We essentially gambled on keeping keita and Thiago fit which is madness considering their injury records.

Bellingham ain't going to Liverpool. His stock is high and would interest most of the top European clubs.

I know the grave dancing has commenced already but some of you have very short memories. Bellingham may not end up at liverpool but to suggest he wont because we arent a top european club isnt very clever.

If he wants a PL winners medal on his CV he is more likely to want to join City than Liverpool.
