Strange stuff, is this just a problem with ambulances or the vans themselves? 5ft9 Isn’t very tall!

This was known way before EEAS purchased these vehicles, various services have used national spec vehicles for years & have had issues with this .

For me , the big question is who received the big brown envelope from fiat for creating a national spec vehicle that is based on a chassis spec …….. only manufactured by Fiat !

When my wife went into hospital by ambulance with Covid the two female paramedics who treated her (extremely well) and took her were like two beautiful Amazons and I bet both were around 6 FT.

I would imagine that the the bean counters who are in charge of procurement have not asked the professionals who actually use the kit. I would further imagine that the reason they don't ask those who use them is because they would be told that you buy cheap, you buy sub-optimal kit (also known as s**t). Somebody doubtless got a pat on the back for "saving money" and I accept that it's out of the stretched public purse, but is it actually value for money when they aren't fit for purpose.
I may be wrong of course.
