At a distance the dial looks a little like mother of pearl.

It looks fantastic. An AD I spoke with put me down for the only one they are getting allocated. I had an email yesterday to say that they are very sorry but another colleague had already allocated it to someone else Accidents happen so no hard feelings, and they did say if the buyer drops out they will let me know so

I'm glad I didn't order. I thought it looked too light and I was right - more suited to a lady I'd say.
Seems like the perfect colour combination to go with a white shirt at the office to me. I really like it.
Hottest GS release thus far, London boutique have 40 people on the waitlist (all sold out, so 40 hoping someone drops out).
This looks fantastic. Well done to those managing to get one. Wish they’d do more with the 61GS case.
Some of the Japanese sellers on C24 are still advertising these - I believe Japan got 800 of the 2000 so may be worth reaching out to them
Did you cancel yours Ryan?

I like the case back better than the dial. I hope they do a quartz diver with the same case back.
I wonder if the popularity of this watch might signal a turning point for GS? Maybe there will be waiting lists for Snowflakes not Submariners one day?

Limited editions like this save me from myself when they sell out…. Although I’m on various waiting lists for one.
Anybody else spend too much on watches they don’t need ???
I’ve always felt that the underlying point of “hitting the markers” isn’t that the second hand aligns with the index on its pause per se* but rather that the second hand is consistently positioned vis-ŕ-vis the indices throughout its travel.
The alignment vs indices is merely how the hand is stuck on its post; the consistency of alignment at each of its 60 stations is better proof of the mechanism’s fineness.
*though naturally it’s always desirable, and I’m fortunate in that my 9F and 8J are perfectly aligned.
Ditch the date window, add a screw-down crown, add micro adjustment on the braclet clasp and I'm in !
Totally removed off SB site now. I've heard the release is 1st July. Has anyone else heard if that date is correct ?

I was told mine should be available to collect from the 1st week in July.
As an aside this is all kinds of a brilliant purchase for someone;

Just had email from the boutique to say mine has arrived and is being prepared for despatch.
Yeah me too. Collecting it when I go to Swindon on Saturday
I'm interested to see how many are immediately moved on, if it turns out to be a much lighter blue than the initial promo photos.
Will be on my wrist Sat night in the pub
Yep mine is ready too!
Can't wait.
This will have to do until Saturday

Congrats on the prompt pickup!!
If you could post a couple in natural light it would be appreciated.
Looks amazing, that blue GS logo really stands out.
Congrats, I can’t wait for mine!
As an FYI when I picked it up and opened the box in the Boutique the watch had already been set to the correct time. The EXACT correct time, lined up perfectly with the atomic clock and they'd set the seconds hand perfectly. on this one the seconds hand does align perfectly with the markers.
Colour does change according to lighting and in natural light is lighter than the Tiffany Blue.
Also crown is not screwdown. It does have the fast-set hours which is super handy. The Assistant at the Boutique said that watch has 5 year warranty meaning 1st 2 battery changes are included

Excellent. Really excited to see what they do with this range next. The caseback is quartz-made-into-art. I'd love to see a no-date version of a GS quartz, but I doubt it'll be on the cards.
