    Replacing an ETA 2784 movement?

I currently have a watch with an ETA 2784 movement at a watchmaker for repairs, but there's a risk they won't be able to fix it. It works if I shake it but it doesn't wind, and the crown is very hard to screw in all the way and falls off if pulled out all the way. My question is, if they won't be able to fix it, is it possible to source another ETA 2784 movement and simply replace it? Or is there another movement that would work as well?

If you check eBay there are examples for sale
A Chinese clone of the watch is a cheaper one may also work, again available on eBay
